Webinar Series 2026: Developing a Transforming Homes Design Catalogue to inspire future housing transformations
This webinar focuses on an emerging Design Catalogue for the transformation of 1920-1940 Council built homes. The Catalogue is being co-designed by residents, community groups, local authorities, social housing companies, industry, not-for-profit organisations and academics. Practical and inspirational, the Design Catalogue will guide the user through a range of strategic design approaches and detailed design solutions where spatial and experiential design, and using bio-based, non-extracted materials and operational and embodied carbon are considered.
The webinar offers attendees an insight into alternative approaches to traditional retrofit through transferable design research methods. This includes co-design charrettes with a wide range of stakeholders and a review of emerging transformation strategies, design proposals, and modelling data.
